The different types of aquariums

You want to start in the aquarium business, but you don’t know where to start. We accompany you towards the choice of an aquarium which will be able to correspond to you best.

  • The community aquarium : This is the main aquarium with different marine species (fish, plants, etc..) with no link between them. It is thus necessary to check the needs of each one to optimize the good functioning of their new habitat.

  • The reef aquarium : Probably the most beautiful aquarium mainly composed of corals. It aims to reproduce the natural marine reef environment. It requires good knowledge in the aquarium field by monitoring parameters essential for the species such as lighting or mixing

  • The Dutch aquarium : It is an aquarium containing plants in priority. The fish contribute secondarily to the aesthetic effect of the whole as well as to the balance of the tank (by fertilizing it). Generally of fresh water, it is chosen according to the colors of the plants and their volumes.

  • The specific aquarium : It is an aquarium rather easy to realize by adopting species of the same family. For example, if you buy only goldfish for your aquarium, their needs will be rather similar and therefore easier to maintain.

  • The biotope aquarium : It is a difficult aquarium to reproduce. Indeed, it requires knowledge of the natural habitat environment of the species we want to maintain. For example, species coming from fresh water in Asia, learn about the parameters of the different rivers or lakes where they live and set up everything for your aquarium.

  • Aquascaping : This is the new trend, it consists in recreating an aquatic landscape with plants and decorations. If you have the soul of an artist, this is the way to have fun.
