FISHGUN L3: Live Zooplankton dispenser for aquatic animal facilities

Semi-automatic live zooplankton dispenser

 

Developed by Sorbonne University and Planktovie, the FISHGUN L3 is a semi-automatic dispenser for live food (Artemis, Rotifers, etc.). This laboratory equipment has been designed to facilitate the feeding of aquatic models (e.g. zebrafish) by zootechnicians in aquatic animal houses or hatching nurseries. It complements the FISHGUN D2, designed for dispensing solid food (granules, powder, etc.). 

It consists of :

• Ergonomic handle for easy, effortless use;
• A digital display for better control of operations;
• A technological system for delivering live food (rotifers, Artemis, etc.) by activating a pump to collect it, itself connected to an interchangeable tank. The plankton living inside the tank is continuously homogenized by an air pump;
• An induction charger for greater safety and robustness;
• A USB-C type charger for fast charging;
• An RFID scanner to identify the aquariums and determine the number of fish present, so you can deliver the right amount of food according to the number of fish in each tank;
• An extension system for the hose support, enabling the unit to be adapted to the main aquarium brands on the market (Aquaneering, Iwaki, Tecniplast, Pentair, Aquatic Habitats);
